ACG releases meta-study of UC and CD drug treatments

The American College of Gastroenterology has released a meta-review on medical therapies for IBD. Treatments considered include the standards you are probably all familiar with: 5-ASAs, corticosteroids, budesonide, immunosuppressives, biologicals and antibiotics.

Each class of drug is considered for both CD and UC and is rated for recommendation, quality of evidence and efficacy for both inducing remission and preventing relapse.

It’s not light reading, but may be helpful for decisions you may face.
