Novel mechanism for Crohn’s disease uncovered

Researches at the Technische Universität München have shown in a mouse model that bacterial imbalance in the gut can lead to a Chrohn’s-like inflammation. Previously, it was not know wether an unbalanced gut microbiota was the cause or result of inflammation. Their research shows that it is the cause. Here’s your link.

    not surprising to me! if you read Sarah Ballantyne’s book, The Paleo Approach Reverse Autoimmune Disease and Heal Your Body, you will find all kinds of scientific evidence on the causes of autoimmunity. I think with the new era of functional medicine we are finally at a place of answers and not the throw your hands up in the air confused state I went through for many years after my Crohn’s diagnosis.
