I get a fair number of comments on this blog thanking me for helping them or their kid get started on the SCD. It’s gratifying to get these comments, but it is one-to-one, or piecemeal process instead of a more network effect. This is fine, I’m not complaining or saying it’s not important, but you should really check out what Tali is doing over at Gut Harmony.
Her family used SCD to help treat her son with CD. That alone doesn’t make their story terribly unique. What does set it apart is what she is doing with the GI doctors at the Seattle Children’s Hospital. It is absolutely awesome and gives me hope for a wider acceptance of the SCD as a treatment option for IBD.
You should head on over to her blog and at least read the Milestones in our Timeline post.
Thanks Tali!
Thanks so much for sharing this. I’m encouraged both by the amazing success stories, but also that doctors are beginning to consider the SCD Diet as a treatment. I think I’ll pass this on to my GI Dr.
Penny,
You’re welcome. It’s encouraging to think that more people will be helped by what is going on there.
